The Jerte Valley is a privileged natural area located in the northern of the province of Cáceres, one of the most beautiful regions of the Iberian Peninsula. It harbors 11 villages that coexist in perfect harmony with nature.

One of the things the Jerte Valley is most known are its famous cherries. The slopes of the valley are covered with cherry blossoms in spring, this event has recently been declared a holiday of national tourist interest . Its fruit, the cherry, with its own denomination of origin, the picota, is a delicacy that can be enjoyed from mid-May until August.

Jerte is home to the Garganta de los Infiernos which has been declared a Natural Reserve in 1994, and it's famous for its biodiversity and for its baths in Los Pilones, authentic natural pools of crystalline water.
